Fashion Make Photography Up Article

Embrace the Change that is Digitally Yours! by Maricon Williams To master digital technology, one has to be knowledgeable of the fundamentals of photography like the depth of field and exposure of the subject. A Photoshop guru can save an otherwise lousy shot. Believe me it can make a wild difference between a poorly taken original image. Photoshop mastery can give it life, spice and character! You must be aware that old techniques most of the time, is lacking thus, we have to incorporate various and recent techniques in order to come up with a fabulous creation that can transcend limitations.

When you are taking a subject which has strong light and deep shadows, you have to capture both the details and the range of tones. You can do it by taking two or more different shots or images. When your subject is not moving, it is easy for you to have several original and identical images. Then seize different exposures. After that, you can combine them together to give an atmosphere of transparency. Bear in mind though, that you have to know the exposure latitude. If you are not sure about what you are doing, just bracket the exposures to capture the highlights and shadows. There can be a situation where you can’t get the entire image in focus. This may be frustrating but with the help of a digital processing this can be resolved. The remedy to this is to take two images and combine them in Photoshop. Photoshop will do the magic to make the image clear and convincing.

To do this, you must take an image focused toward the foreground and the other image favoring the background. Leave some overlapping details in the middle where the two images are supposed to meet. Another alternative is to throw the background out of focus and also take a close-up image of an image. If you combine both images, the result will center on the close-up image however, it will create a certain background that will complement the focal image. The essential elements of this technique are the combination of a small aperture subject to a wide-aperture one and then combining it digitally. If you haven’t try this, you have to find time to explore this technique and feel the amazing tickle of your masterpiece. Let us take advantage of the digital change. It is actually making a whole new difference in the photography world. Your artistic side may be telling you to capture the details and relay the message. Make sure you shut in even the minutest detail of the scene. How do you plan to convey the message?

Camera Lens F-Stop Values Explained

Lens aperture settings are commonly knows as f-stops. The letter "f" is an abbreviation of the term "focal-ratio", which describes the ratio of the lens's focal length to the diameter of the light entrance pupil (more commonly called the aperture). The standard sequence of f-stops is: f/1.4 f/2 f/2.8 f/4 f/5.6 f/8 f/11 f/16 f/22 On this scale, an f/1.4 setting is the largest aperture, while f/22 is the smallest, and each f-stop in the sequence is half the size of its neighbour to the left, and twice the size of its neighbour to the right. In other words, f/5.6 permits the passage of twice as much light as f/8, but only half the light of f/4. Low f-stop numbers represent larger apertures, and higher f-stop numbers indicate smaller apertures because the f-stop is a ratio is between the size of the aperture and the focal length of the lens; i.e. a bigger number represents a larger difference. Here's the maths for a 50mm lens. f-stop / Diameter (...

Automatically Update Your Facebook Page From Your Photo Blog

This video shows you step by step how to automatically create a post on your Facebook wall whenever you add a new post to your blog, without needing to do any extra work. This is a great way to keep people coming back to your website every time you add something new, espcially when you get to the stage where your Facebook page has hundreds, and even thousands of fans. One thing I forgot to mention in the video is that there are many app’s that will post your blog to a tab on your Facebook page, but this is virtually worthless. You see the only way people will come and check out your stuff is if it gets posted on their wall via your wall. And the best way to do this is to create a direct link between your blog and your Facebook wall using the method showed in this video, rather than using one of the Facebook app’s that simply creates a tab called ‘Blog’. For some people this may seem fairly advanced, but the reason I’ve included it is because it can be very powerful for yo...
